Hope
is offered by volunteer counselors at PACN, who reach out to
women, men and families experiencing unexpected pregnancies with
friendship, information and assistance.
What
does a volunteer counselor do?
A volunteer counselor meets one-on-one with clients at
PACN. Clients are often frightened and unsure of what to do.
A volunteer counselor offers acceptance, someone to talk
to and resources to help clients with pregnancy options.
What
are the required qualifications?
Volunteer counselors are dedicated Christians who are at
least 21 years old and have a heart of compassion for women and
men in pregnancy related crisis.
How
much time does it take?
PACN volunteer counselors typically volunteer 2 - 4 hours
per week.
How
do I become trained?
First, attend a volunteer counselor training
seminar. PACN offers several seminars each year. The seminars offer 21 hours of excellent material on topics
relevant to volunteer counseling. After your classroom training
is completed, you will have in-depth on-the-job training to
prepare you for counseling during your volunteer shift.
How
much does it cost?
$35 per person or $55 per couple.
If cancellation of registration is necessary, the above
fees are refundable (less a $10 per person processing fee) or
can be applied to a future date when you notify us prior to the
training start date.
What
are the dates? Our 2008 training offers 3
series each with identical material. Classes are
scheduled 6pm to 9:30pm on the following dates:
Series
1: February 19, 21, 22, 26, 28 and 29
Series
2: June 2, 3, 5, 9, 10 and 12
Series

is it held?
Seminars are held locally.
